He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly sixty years, Eleanor (Petterson) Plastridge who died in 1999. He is survived by two sons, Joel F. Plastridge of Newburyport; and Peter D. Plastridge and wife Esther of Orange Park, FL; a daughter, Jocelyn Goldman of East Haddam, CT; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
