NOTE from her obituary (see Findagrave Memorial): Berniece is survived by two sons, a foster daughter, a granddaughter, 8 nieces, and many great nieces and nephews. Her husband Dr. A.F. Southard, whom she married on May 1, 1932, preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1988. An infant daughter Carolyn Southard, a foster daughter Nancy Jordan, and two brothers Charles and Lewis Naylor also preceded her in death.
