    • HISTORY: Dunklin (p.71) says that Valentine married "the widow Sinclair, nee Tripett". No children are listed.

      The Kentucky Death Records,1911-1961, for Marcellus Scruggs, b 1841, lists Ann Eliza Sinkler(sic) as his mother and the wife of Henry Scruggs.

      A family tree on ancestry.com lists the wife as "Anna Eliza Sinkler [sic]". Their child was Marcellus, who married Amanda Harlow.

      MARRIAGE 1869: on ancestry.com (Kentucky County Marriages). Ann E Sinclair married Henry V Scruggs on 29 Aug 1839 in Scott Kentucky.
