    • HISTORY: THOMAS BUFORD SCRUGGS (reference I.4.3.3.2), "son of Thomas Scruggs, Jr., by his wife Judith Buford, married twice; first, in 1810, Lucy Lindsay, born 1792, died, 1834, the daughter of Anthony Lindsay and his wife Alice Cole, of Lindsay Station, Scott County, Kentucky, near Frankfort, and granddaughter of Anthony Lindsay and Nellie Dorsey, of Virginia. He had issue by his first wife: William Reaves b Feb.11, 1811, Martha and Sarah (twins), Nancy, Mary and John (twins), Thomas. (p.70-71)

      "Thomas Buford Scruggs, after the death of his first wife, moved to St. Louis, where he owned a large hotel and a racing stable of fine horses. He had issue by his second wife, Ms Callahan: George, Henry M. born Aug.15, 1846. Thomas Buford Scruggs and his wife Ms Callahan died in the spring of 1850." (Dunklin, p.70-71)
