    Notes:
    In 1861 Archibald was still married to Catherine (also called Christian on the censuses) and their last child was born abt 1869. But she and at least 1 child (b around in 1861) did not make the move to Canada. In 1870, Archibald comes to Canada with 9 children. One of those children (William, the youngest) does not appear on the 1871 census.

    In 1871, Archibald has a new wife, Augustina. Augustina either leaves or dies because, in 1891, Archibald has a new wife, Annie. It is unknown when they were married. She is 20 years younger and comes from the US. And there is a whole new family, as listed above. Not sure which wife was the mother of each of these children.
