He was a safety inspector for Celanese Chemical Co. for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Irma; a daughter, Debbie Brown of Wichita Falls; two sons, John Puryear of Graham and Bobby Puryear of Eagle River, Alaska; six grand-children; and six great-grandchildren.
