    • HISTORY: Dunklin, (p.47) says that Richard Mitchell Scruggs, ref. 1.4.3.(2), son of Thomas Scruggs by his second wife Jane Scott, was born in Bedford County, Virginia, 1802. ... He married Nov. 6, 1823, Charlott Caggery, by whom he had no issue. He died in 1824.
