    • Dunklin (p.23) lists Henry as one of 7 children born to Henery Scruggs and Anne Grose; siblings: John, Richard, Thomas, Edward, Mary, Anne.

      Dunklin (p. 24, 30) says that Henry and Elizabeth Scruggs had 6 children; these are not listed in this database:
      1. Davis (baptized June 20, 1715, 2. Henry, born June 11, 1722, 3. James, born March 13, 1723-24, 4. Samuel, born Sep. 30, 1726, 5. Elizabeth, born in New Kent Co., Virginia, St. Peter’s Parish, 1729, 6. Julius, born in New Kent Co., Virginia, Jan.1, 1736.
      His wife, Elizabeth Scruggshad the following slaves baptized in New Kent County, Virginia, 1757: Lucy, Betty, Richard, Roger, Milly and Margaret.

      A possible 7th child John 'the elder' 1738, was added to that manuscript later "based on research by the Scruggs Family Association".
