    • JOHN SCRUGGS (reference I.4.3.3.3), "son of Thomas Scruggs, Jr., by his wife Judith Buford, married Docia Baker, who, at his death, married Jesse Lindsay, son of Anthony Lindsay and Alice Cole." (Dunklin, p.42,71)

      Note: in 1876 (April 23), the daughter of John and Dotia (née Baker) died at age 58. Her name was Pattio Tac McCann. The Ancestry index says "Pollie Toe McCann".)
      John and Doshia[sic] Baker married Jan. 9, 1917 in Gallatin, Kentucky. (from Ancestry, Kentucky, Compiled Marriages, 1802-1850. He died abt 1829 and she remarried in 1830-31.
