  • Notes 
    • Dunklin does not mention the name of the first wife of Thomas (ref, I.4.3.). The name (Susannah Hughes) comes from Ancestry family trees. Their children are listed as William, Elizabeth (Betsy), Thomas Jr., Martha (Patsy), Gross. (See Dunklin, p. 26,31-32.)

      NOTE: Thomas remarried in 1797 to Jane Scott. But, if Susannah died in 1810, this means that she and Thomas divorced. Is that what happened? Some Ancestry family trees do not list Thomas' second wife. There are also conflicting dates about his death and about Susannah's brith date.
